United Airlines Pilot Saves The Day When Passengers Start Debating The Election

This election is ruining friendships and destroying families. No matter who you voted for, you’re bound to find several angry people who voted for the other candidate. Apparently the situation is so bad that it’s making air travel extremely awkward.

This week, two passengers got into an extremely loud and contentious argument on a United Airlines flight to Mexico, and their pilot finally had enough. He blew up very publicly over the intercom at the angry pair and luckily for us another passenger caught it on camera! It begins in the middle of a sentence, but we can pretty much interpret his point when he starts, “… gonna be in a metal tube at 35,000 feet to bring up politics.”

The hero pilot then goes on for another full minute, shaming the two passengers until their ears were burning. He yells at them to, “have the common decency to respect each others’ decisions,” and that only when people have calmed down in general can they discuss how, “we can all pull for this country in our own way.” We’re literally copying down some of these lines for the inevitable awkward family dinner on Thanksgiving!

Finally, this incredible, anonymous pilot decides to end his rant with a mic drop, declaring, “If there’s anyone who has a problem with this, that needs to vent or rant or rave, there’s another flight tomorrow. They’re not going to be on this one.” Boom. Don’t flight on planes because you just might have this guy as your pilot!
