Man Jumps Out of Car For the Best Reason

We live in such a busy and fast-paced society that sometimes it’s hard to remember how things used to be, when people slowed down to help strangers and neighbors did things for each other. Tara Carter was reminded recently that whenever possible we should try to revert back to those times and actions, even if it’s only for a couple hours. She was out with her family, picking up food, when her husband suddenly jumped out of the car, saying as he did so, “Take the food home and come back and get me!”

Tara was very confused, but trusted her husband and hopped in the driver’s seat of their jeep. However, as she watched him, she realized what had caught her husband’s eye and attention so much that he got out of the car. An elderly man was trying to mow his lawn with a push mower, and he was struggling with it. Tara’s husband Chris gently took the mower from him and proceed to mow the man’s entire lawn so that he wouldn’t have to strain to do so!

Tara snapped a photo of Chris and the man and posted it to social media, with the caption: “This is one of the many reasons I love my husband. As we are driving home with Kylie and Gage, Chris suddenly turns the jeep around and says ‘Take the food home and come back and get me.’ I didn’t know what he had seen but said ok. We pull up and Chris takes the push mower from this elderly gentleman. I pray that my son learns from this and randomly helps people do things like his father does.” #LoveWhatMatters

We think Chris Carter is setting an excellent example, not only for his son and daughter, but for the rest of us as well. To quote the TV show Louie, “The only time you look in your neighbor’s bowl is to make sure that they have enough. You don’t look in your neighbor’s bowl to see if you have as much as them.”
