There’s Not A Dry Eye In Sight When Groom Recites Vows To Step Daughter

Families can come in all shapes, sizes, numbers, colors, genders. What ultimately makes a family is unconditional love and a commitment to each other. One Laguna Beach, California couple very clearly understands this and knows that the key to being a family isn’t just blood ties but openness, honesty, patience, and love.

When Mike Seldon first started dating Brittany Williams, her daughter was only 14 months old. While many men may be deterred from dating a single mother, Seldon knew he found two special someones. Just last year Seldon decided to make his family official and proposed to Williams.

The trio soon moved in together, and Seldon began to really embrace his role as a stepdad. He did this by tucking his stepdaughter, Heidi, in at night and kissing her on his way out the door to work. The couple got married on October 28th, 2016, but instead of just making vows to love his new wife unconditionally, Seldon also made a point to vow to his new stepdaughter to love her unconditionally, as well.

During the couple’s ceremony, the groom knelt down to  the now five year old Heidi, who was standing near her mother, and vowed to her to be the best stepdad ever. “I vow to always be fair and honest with you,” he said. “I promise to support you in every way I can. I promise to always hold your hand and brush your hair when you ask me to. I promise to tuck you into bed every night. I vow to show you how a man should treat a woman through my relationship with your mom. And above all else, I vow to protect you, care for you, and love you ‘so big’ forever.”

Obviously, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, but no one was more touched by this then Williams herself. “It’s pretty special finding someone that loves you unconditionally, but to come as a package deal with a little one and have a man make a commitment to love her unconditionally as well is an absolute blessing,” she said.

Stray Dog Leads Bachelor Party To Her 7 Newborns And They Adopt Them All

No wedding is complete without one last celebratory weekend with just the guys/girls to have some fun. Mitchel Craddock and his buddies were all set for a relaxing weekend of camping to celebrate his upcoming nuptials, and off to a cabin they went.

Craddock and company arrived at a cabin in the woods in Tennessee, and as the eight men started cooking some food for the weekend, they noticed something out of the ordinary at their door. The smell of the bacon they were cooking lured a hungry, skinny dog to their door, who sat there sadly staring at the men and enjoying the smell of sizzling pork.

When the men noticed her, they noticed how skinny she was so they shared some of their food. The men also noticed something else interesting about the friendly dog, who they named Annie. She appeared to be nursing a litter of puppies.

The men watched Annie go back and forth from a hole in the ground nearby and went to investigate. When they saw one puppy poke its little head out of the hole, the men reached in and retrieved the whole litter.

They found seven dirty, flea ridden, but adorable puppies in that hole and knew that their beer money for the weekend was now puppy money.

The men took all eight dogs in (eight dogs for eight men), washed and bathed them, fed them, and each one of them took a dog home!

Best yet, all eight men live within five miles of each other, which means mama and siblings get playdates ALL the time!

Not your classic bachelor party, definitely, but puppies beat waking up with a hangover any day!

Daughter Saves Terminally Sick Dad With Simple Facebook Post And The Help Of Her Friend

When he was diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney failure, Jeff Charters knew he had to start looking for donor right away. Soon after, Jeff learned that he would need an open heart surgery to fix an additional health concern un related to his recent diagnosis. That heart surgery took a serious toll on his body and pushed his Stage 4 renal failure into Stage 5. “We knew it was going to take a toll on the kidneys and make them worse, but you really don’t have a choice,” said Jeff.

At that point his daughter, Kim Charters, knew that her dad desperately needed a functioning kidney in order to survive. With over 120,000 Americans needing an organ transplant, waiting for a donor to just fall into their lap could take five years or more. Her dad didn’t have five years to wait, and Kim took matters into her own hands by creating a Facebook page called “Find Jeff Charters a Kidney.”

Soon enough, Kim heard back from an old high school classmate of hers, Rachel Milks, offering to get tested to see if she was a match for Kim’s dad. While Kim was on vacation in Hawaii, she received a call from Rachel informing her that she was a match for her father, and that Rachel wanted to give him a kidney. Kim broke the news to her dad by handing him a postcard upon her return from Hawaii. “It took a moment to finally hit me,” said Jeff, “But when it did, I just dropped. I was bawling.”

Jeff and Rachel met for the first time the night before the transplant operation, hugging and thanking each other. After the two had recovered, Jeff offered to repay Rachel. “She said ‘You don’t owe me anything,’” said Jeff. “If she only knew how much I owed her. I’d give her the world if I could.”
