Maid Of Honor Carries Dying Dog Down The Aisle Of Her Sister’s Wedding And Not A Dry Eye Is In Sight

When Kelly O’Connell was marrying the man of her dreams, James Garvin, she knew exactly who she wanted by her side- her 15-year-old lab mix named Charlie. Charlie had been by her side for so many big moments in her life that Kelly couldn’t wait to share her wedding with him, too. But at 15 years old, Charlie was diagnosed with a brain tumor just 5 months before Kelly’s wedding and Kelly wasn’t sure if her best friend would be able to make it.

Kelly and Charlie first met when he was just 12 weeks old and she 19 years old. Charlie had been found abandoned in a shopping cart and was brought to the animal shelter where Kelly was working. She wasn’t looking for a dog at the time, but it was love at first sight. Kelly said,”I was 19, still living with my parents and going to college. It was the worst time in my life to even attempt to get a dog… He came in, and I was like, ‘Yup. I’m taking this puppy home.’” The best friends were inseparable, even when Kelly moved from New York to Colorado.

When the wedding day finally arrived, Charlie was there. Before the ceremony began, Charlie hobbled his way down to the aisle, but as soon as the ceremony began, he couldn’t find the strength to stand and walk the length of the aisle behind Kelly.

Stray Dog Leads Bachelor Party To Her 7 Newborns And They Adopt Them All

No wedding is complete without one last celebratory weekend with just the guys/girls to have some fun. Mitchel Craddock and his buddies were all set for a relaxing weekend of camping to celebrate his upcoming nuptials, and off to a cabin they went.

Craddock and company arrived at a cabin in the woods in Tennessee, and as the eight men started cooking some food for the weekend, they noticed something out of the ordinary at their door. The smell of the bacon they were cooking lured a hungry, skinny dog to their door, who sat there sadly staring at the men and enjoying the smell of sizzling pork.

When the men noticed her, they noticed how skinny she was so they shared some of their food. The men also noticed something else interesting about the friendly dog, who they named Annie. She appeared to be nursing a litter of puppies.

The men watched Annie go back and forth from a hole in the ground nearby and went to investigate. When they saw one puppy poke its little head out of the hole, the men reached in and retrieved the whole litter.

They found seven dirty, flea ridden, but adorable puppies in that hole and knew that their beer money for the weekend was now puppy money.

The men took all eight dogs in (eight dogs for eight men), washed and bathed them, fed them, and each one of them took a dog home!

Best yet, all eight men live within five miles of each other, which means mama and siblings get playdates ALL the time!

Not your classic bachelor party, definitely, but puppies beat waking up with a hangover any day!

Pregnant Dog Gets Her Own Maternity Photo Shoot

Maternity photos capture the beauty of pregnancy. They display the love shared between parents and their anticipation of new life. Usually these sessions are of baby humans, but these people brilliantly show that maternity photo shoots can be for our canine friends too.

According to People Magazine, Kennedy Sorenson, owner of Chanel the pregnant golden retriever, came up with the awesome idea 9 days before her dog was due to give birth. She contacted Amy Rients, a talented photographer and owner of LeeRoy the future father of the puppies, to run the idea past her, and she agreed.  The adorable images show Chanel wearing a flower wreath and LeeRoy wearing a blue bandana. The pups are lovingly posing side by side next to a sign that reads “9 days until Puppies.”

Homeless Dog Is Rescued And Gets Instagramed At Pet-Friendly Restaurants In LA

When Popeye’s mom, Ivy, found him, she wasn’t in the market for a pooch because her house was too full. Ivy said, “he was such a mess – super skinny, heavily matted, dirty.” How could she say no? After moving in with Ivy and her husband, it wasn’t long before Popeye got an extreme makeover and found himself accustomed to the finer things in life.

Popeye along with his mom and dad are regulars at pet-friendly dining establishments in Los Angeles. A far cry from the life he lived before Ivy. Like anyone else in LA they document their meals on Instagram.

Ivy said “One of my friends, Jen, suggested that I create an Instagram account for Popeye because he was cute. Jen and I liked to go on what we call ‘Instagram dates’ and take pics of our food. I’d bring Popeye any time I can, and we realized he was really good around food. He doesn’t lunge for food or really even care for it. He just liked to be out. He’ll get nibbles of anything that’s safe for him. I also carry a bag of treats for him, in case there’s nothing he can have.”

Popeye now has over 108k followers on his Instagram, so if you’re trying to watch what you eat, at least you can vicariously live through this foodie cutie. Get your grub on Popeye!
