Comedian Wears Wedding Dress On First Date

Picking the right outfit for a first date is super challenging. Girls have to decide what they want the outfit to say: do we want to seem sweet, sexy, sophisticated, or a combination of all three? We put in a ton of effort to look like we took no effort at all, and just rolled out of bed with gorgeous loose curls and perfectly even skin tones!

Well British blogger and comedian Laura Bubble is having none of it. She released a video chronicling her first date escapades, for which she wore a wedding dress. Seriously. No agonizing over details, just throw on your favorite white gown, grab a bouquet and stroll out to meet a complete stranger you’ve been chatting with online. What could go wrong?

Well, it turns out, a lot could go wrong. Laura got responses like, “I’m… not doing that,” to “Did Dave put you up to this?” to no responses at all. One guy just took a look at her from a distance and turned right around and walked away.

However, many were game for a laugh, which says something positive about online dating we think! Though they were hesitant and nervous at her appearance, most tried to chat with Laura normally, although they did seem to keep their distance!

Turns out the whole prank video was to raise money for the campaign Stand Up to Cancer, for which she admirably raised plenty of moolah. However, Laura did get some legitimate dates out of the whole process; one guy even took her to the movies after he found out about the prank, wedding dress and all!

Clever Man Landed 10 Job Interviews By Delivering His Resume In A Box Of Donuts

It’s no secret that trying to find a job in a professional setting can be tough. Though the economy may be on it’s way back up, more and more talented people enter the job market every day. It’s hard to prove to people that you’re the special snowflake that deserves to land the open position at their company.

One man who recently moved to San Francisco decided that rolling the dice and simply hoping his resume would somehow get noticed among the throngs of emails companies receive wasn’t good enough, so he took his destiny into his own hands. Many people suggest that you hand-deliver a resume to a company you are interested in , but Lukas Yla decided to take even that a step further.

Donning a shirt that read Postmates, a courier service that delivers food and other goodies, Yla swanned into prospective companies and delivered a box of donuts. When recipients opened those boxes of donuts, they were greeted with a note from Yla taped to the top and his resume behind it.

Yla, a self-proclaimed “marketing guy with 5 years of experience,” not only grabbed the attention of the companies he was visiting, but also proved that he can think of a pretty impressive marketing ploy in the form of delicious donuts from San Francisco’s Mr. Holmes Bakehouse.

It’s a pretty win-win situation: employers receive tasty pastries and Yla ensures that his resume gets a thorough look-over. As a result, Yla has landed 10 interviews so far with this tactic, but no word on if he’s found his new work-home just yet.

If Yla were to bring donuts in all the time, that might be another compelling reason to hire this grassroots marketing mogul.

Dressed Up As A Mermaid With His Daughter

Odds are, if your child has something that makes them unbelievably happy in this world, you’ll do anything to get it for them. If you’re not a parent, hopefully you can remember one time that your mom or dad went above and beyond to make you squeal in pure unbridled childish joy.

While trying to make his daughter happy with one little action, one father is making some serious waves. A  Reddit user  recently posted a picture of a father and his daughter, costumed and strutting around at Disneyland, both dressed as mermaids. The little girl is clearly donning an Ariel costume, while dad sports what we can only imagine is a King Triton get up. Both father and daughter are crushing the sequined mermaid fin look, and the internet agrees.

However, what the internet and Reddit users are really blowing up about is how significant the strides are that this father took to make his little girl happy. Not only is he setting amazing examples about gender roles, in one simple picture, this anonymous dad is showing the world what it looks like to love a child.

One Reddit user shared his experience on the related thread saying, “Dads think all day and night about what will make their daughters happy, and then they try their best to make it happen, some how, some way, and they’re devastated when they can’t. This guy got those outfits and came up with the idea of wearing it for one reason, and one reason only – he wanted to see his little girl’s eyes light up.”

The photo even inspired other fathers to share their mildly embarrassing, but daughter pleasing pics of when they went above and beyond for their little girls!

Little Girl’s Pep Talk In Her Mirror Shows Us All How We Should Speak To Ourselves

We all talk to ourselves – it’s a fact. At one point in your life, you’ve looked at yourself in the mirror and said something to yourself. Hopefully, it’s something positive and nice about how you’re looking that day and not something self-deprecating and negative. Whatever it is you say to yourself, chances are you’ve been talking to yourself since you could talk! The only difference as we age is that we get more embarrassed by it.

One little three year old girl from Michigan, Audrey Rabaut, has no qualms about talking about how amazing she is to herself. Her mother, Jamie, managed to catch Audrey on her phone’s camera checking herself out, and just digging her new outfit.

Little Audrey is decked out in a snazzy new outfit that she obviously loves and dances around in the mirror saying, “I’m cute, I’m cute!” As she continues to dance on, her song expands to, “I’m cute and beautiful!” Her mom gently reminds her that she’s also smart and perfect, too!

At the end, her mother tells Audrey that she loves her. Audrey is obviously in love with herself too and keeps on vamping! Who doesn’t appreciate a good outfit?

70-Year-Old Grandma Sends Granddaughter Glamorous Photos

Lots of grandparents are pretty hip with the times. They have smart phones, take selfies and even keep in touch via Facebook.

Alexa Rowland lives in Atlanta, Georgia, and her 70-years-young grandmother Ana Lorena, lives in Costa Rica. Because the two live 3,000 miles apart, they stay in contact through text message. They mostly exchange pictures of their family, but every now and then there are some surprises.

Seriously, how cute is that? Recently this Bad Mama Jamma upped her picture game sending some pretty fab snapshots of herself casually posing around a beautiful home.“She casually sent me those photos without saying much – haha,” Alexa said. Who needs word’s when you look this good?!

Get it grandma! Alexa thought her grandma looked too good not to share with the world, so she shared the images to her twitter account. “I just thought she looked too precious not to share with my followers,” Alexa said. She thought nothing of it until the tweet about her beautiful grandma received over 26,000 retweets and 77,000 likes!

Slay gma, slay!  “My abuela doesn’t realize how popular she’s gotten!” When Alexa told her grandma that people on Twitter couldn’t get over her glam looks, Alexa said, “she couldn’t stop smiling…. She was like what? Me?” YAS gma, you!

Alexa said that her grandma, “motivates me to look my best and has helped me through a lot…She just radiates confidence and positivity. I feel like everybody needs an abuelita like mine in their life.”

Seriously, is Ana looking for anymore grandbabies? We want to learn how to be this glam when we turn 70… hell we want to know how to be this glam now.
